Action Georgia was awarded a contract to raise awareness on the role of the private sector in advancing gender equality and women’s economic empowerment in Georgia. The aim of the communications strategy is to educate and change attitudes of local audiences on the relevance and benefits of gender equality in businesses, engage male audiences in the promotion of women’s economic empowerment and position local women entrepreneurs in the limelight as authentic drivers of economic development in Georgia.

Maia Chitaia, Country Director of Action Georgia says, “To really help women in Georgia, we have to engage the private sector in promoting women’s economic empowerment. This is only possible if the private sector is aware about the existing gender gaps in Georgia, as well as global evidence and good practices for making gender equality a reality.”
