Viva Café Barista Championship an Occasion to Remember

As OMV Bulgaria embark on a global campaign related to the launch of their new coffee brand, Viva Café, Action Bulgaria was recently on hand, helping with the organization of a memorable Viva Café Barista Championship award ceremony for employees of OMV filling stations. The event was directly related to OMV Bulgaria’s internal barista trainings and the introduction of the new coffee at the company’s filling stations.

Following an exciting month – which saw OMV employees receive votes from clients for the quality of the Viva Café served and the coffee-making skills of the respective company employees – it all culminated in an exciting award ceremony which saw 22 finalists from filling stations nationwide come together to exhibit their skills before the expert eyes of world-famous barista, Goran Huber.

Petar Velichkov, General Manager of OMV Bulgaria, was also present at the event, coupled with the attendance of company management and numerous media representatives. With Huber standing as judge, barista winners received impressive statuettes and a variety of prizes. Notably, Veronika Mircheva from OMV Polikraishte scooped first prize; a special invitation for training at Huber’s Coffee Institute in Innsbruck, Austria.

The occasion was greatly attended by the media, as journalists expressed their enthusiasm with positive feedback, impressed not only by an emotional and fun ceremony, but also, the great team spirit evident within OMV.
