Setting the Ball in Motion for Doha Goals Forum Success
Action Qatar gave it their very best shot at the recent Doha Goals Forum, effectively taking charge of local media relations for the world’s premiere platform while creating initiatives for global progress through sport. Held for three days between December 9th and 11th at the Aspire Dome, the event saw global leaders gather together in Doha with top stakeholders. From CEOs, government officials, athletes, NGOs and federation heads to urban developers, coaches, managers, and medical experts, all parties joined forces to create partnerships and initiatives that tackle the most pressing social issues. The occasion saw plenty of plenary sessions, debates and constructive brainstorming take place that allowed for focused and fruitful collaboration.
In a record time of just one week, the Action team arranged over 40 interviews with top athletes for some of the most popular TV stations in the area including Al Jazeera Sports, Al Kass, Al Rayyan and Qatar TV. Athletes included Michael Johnson, Kelly Holmes, Tony Hawk, Sheikh Hassan Al Thani, Dikembe Mutombo and Hamza Abdallah, topped off by VIPs such as Isaac Angbo, Stephane Pottier and Gilles Klein. Ensuring that all local sports media were made aware of the event, Action Qatar successfully registered more than 200 media who supported and covered the highly coveted occasion.
