Action Global Communications Qatar, part of Action Global Communications, an award-winning integrated marketing communications agency, is looking for a communications executive, to be embedded with our client.

The ideal candidate will support the implementation and execution of communication strategies and should have a strong background in communication campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategy & Management:

  • Work with Communications Manager to roll out the communications strategy and PR plans.
  • Work with Communications Manager to conceptualize and develop initiatives and PR stunts.

PR & Events:

  • Manage traffic management for client requests.
  • Gather and disseminate daily news.
  • Collate all coverage reports (per press release/ interview/ article; monthly, quarterly, yearly and competitive reports, and provide analysis for competitive reports).
  • Identify relevant awards/ category nominations and keep track of deadlines.
  • Identify and secure stakeholder engagement opportunities, including but not limited to, co-hosted events, MOUs and speaking opportunities.
  • Develop editorial calendar and ensure it is kept up to date.
  • Assist in all client events.
  • Ensure the tracker is kept up to date and all final files are saved in the shared drive.
  • Conduct all necessary market research.
  • Stay up to date with PR and industry trends and best practices.

Content development and media relations:

  • Review content (traditional and online) to ensure that all final copies are newsworthy, up to a high editorial standard, on message, and tailored to the targeted audience.
  • Combine creativity with knowledge of the media to recognize newsjacking opportunities, story angles, and generate positive news coverage, profile pieces and features across a broad media spectrum.
  • Develop and build top-level media relations, securing coverage in key media where required.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline.
  • Proven working experience in public relations required (minimum 2 years).
  • Proven track record executing successful public relations campaigns.
  • Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets.
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills in Arabic and English.
  • Tech-savvy, with a solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize and work on several projects/activities simultaneously
  • A “can-do” temperament. Commitment to meeting deadlines and going the extra mile
