Action Global Communications Hellas is looking for an ambitious, quality-driven, and passionate PR Account Director, to support the development and implementation of high-level communications campaigns in Athens, with a strong involvement in new business development.

Job description
• Develop and present integrated comms strategies (360) including goals, budget, and tactics
• Lead brainstorming sessions and identifying innovative, workable ideas
• Maximize brand presence on various channels
• Ensure brand consistency in all comms efforts
• Edit, revise, and approve content for traditional or digital media outlets
• Track and influence media coverage
• Report on PR campaigns’ results
• Manage sensitive issues to maintain company’s good reputation
• Authority to consult client on issues/crisis, strategies, and development of the account
• Build relationship with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
• Understand and keep up to date with constant developments in the communications industry
• Work closely with Account Managers and Account Executives on daily operational processes
• Set objectives and delegate task for the PR team and monitor their progress
• Inspire and motivate the team to bring in new business leads and work on proposals
• Monitor and evaluate team members’ performance and development.
• Act as the most senior communications consultant and key person to forming communications strategies
• Responsible for actively seeking opportunities to grow business with existing and new clients and contributing to agency’s growth
• Lead new business pitches by providing research information, writing proposals, and presenting them
• Implement a cold-calling new business strategy, appropriate to the market/region to ensure robust pipeline of opportunities
• Maximize networking opportunities and regularly use conferences, events, and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts for the agency.
• Responsible for managing comms campaign budgets

Required Qualifications
• BA/MA degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
• Proven working experience in public relations required (minimum 6 years)
• Proven track record designing and executing successful public relations campaigns
• Strong relationships with both local and national business and industry media outlets
• Exceptional writing and editing skills in Greek and English (proof of past work required)
• Excellent verbal skills in Greek and English, with an ability to handle technical and industry-related terminology and language in client meetings
• Solid experience with social media including blogs, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc
• Tech-savvy with a strong online presence on one or more social networks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize and work on several projects/activities simultaneously
• A “can-do” temperament. Commitment to meeting deadlines and going the extra mile
