I think digital PR finally hit home when I started reading the blog entries that have been posted by my colleagues from around the network. It is so refreshing to read what people have to say direct and unfiltered. One of the hardest things I have had to do in managing a network of different agencies and people, is to understand where everyone is coming from and how perceptions are so different depending on culture and society. I feel that for the first time (through digital PR) I can understand a lot more about the people I work with from around the world by reading their blog posts. Of course, nothing beats visiting people and having direct contact, especially over some good food and wine but, even there, a lot of behaviour and communication is filtered in fear of being misunderstood. So here’s to our digital PR strategy and to getting closer as an Action family.
