The European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt honoured the winners of its 10^th Annual Photography Competition for Amateur Photographers in an award ceremony hosted at the Townhouse Gallery in downtown Cairo.

The 10^th edition of the Annual Photography Competition was a great success. Held under the theme “Favourite Destinations in Egypt”, it witnessed participation from 143 amateur photographers from all around Egypt, submitting over 400 photos featuring images of virtually every corner of the country. And the presence of more than 50 media outlets to cover the award ceremony.

Action Egypt has taken on an increasingly important role in the success of the competition since first providing full press office and media relations support in 2015. For this year, the team’s responsibilities expanded to include brain storming creative themes, producing branded materials, jury member recommendations, and prize selection, in addition to supervising the setup and layout of the award ceremony.

The top 30 photos in the competition, including those of the winners, were on exhibit in the Townhouse Gallery in the weeks leading up to the ceremony, giving visitors a whole new perspective on the rich natural and cultural heritage of Egypt.
