Dubai; looking up in 2013

The first quarter of 2013 has been busy and productive for Action UAE, winning clients left and right on both project and retainer basis.

During the past three months, Action UAE has worked, on project basis, with Taste of Peru – a festival of Peruvian cuisine organized by the Trade and Investment Office of Peru in Dubai; Garmin – the global leader in satellite navigation – specifically for products focused on the marine industry during this year’s edition of the Dubai Boat Show; and Rosetta Stone – the leading language-learning software provider in the world.

“Amidst the challenges of the last six months of the previous year, Action UAE has since witnessed considerable growth during the first quarter of this year,” said Fouad Kassem, Managing Director of Action UAE.

In the same period, there were also new additions to Action’s fast-growing list of clients on retainer basis such as AETNA – a leading US-based health insurance provider; Pro-Ecuador – the Trade and Investment promotion organisation of Ecuador; Kalium – regional distributor of advanced medical equipment, aesthetic devices and skin care product; QNet – the world’s largest and fastest-growing online shopping and business community; and Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council – the initiator, driver and supporter of Abu Dhabi’s urban development strategy – specifically for its social media activities. The first quarter of this year also marked the beginning of the second season with ZESPRI – the leading global marketer of kiwi fruit owned by the kiwi fruit growers of New Zealand.

“The cautiously recovering business climate in Dubai and across the UAE has resulted in a renewed demand for PR and Communications services. “More importantly, these companies have acquired our services for our ability to tailor-fit strategic public relations and communications campaigns that best suit their requirement. As such, we are confident that the positive momentum in the first quarter of 2013 will continue throughout the entire year,” he added.

Moving forward, the remaining months of the year may likewise prove as busy or maybe even busier as several proposals have been submitted and are already in their final decision stages.
