Corporate Social Responsibility: Up Close and Personal with DuPont Pioneer
Ukrainian journalists recently enjoyed a hands-on experience with the world’s leading developer and supplier of hybrid seeds for agriculture as the Stasi Nasinnia production facility flung open its doors for an exclusive media event.
All part of a second media club meeting organized by Action Ukraine devoted to ‘Discovering CSR Matters’, journalists toured the plant and visited surrounding farmland, while also getting to grips with the implementation of DuPont Pioneer’s sustainable development programme.
Action was responsible for the full event planning, which involved inviting key target journalists to the occasion and preparing specially branded journalist backpacks, while also ensuring the smooth-running of all key technical and logistical arrangements.
Dedicated to improving quality of life in the Stasi community, the event also saw DuPont donate a much needed ambulance to the Stasi village council on occasion of their ‘Village Day’, complete with an electrocardiograph and blood glucose meter. Action ensured that the ambulance was in a central location of the village as journalists gathered to witness locals celebrating their new acquisition that will now facilitate access to quality health care.
