the challenge

Danish fintech specialist, Saxo Bank, were keen to elevate their brand awareness in the CEE and MENA regions and put a call out for an international PR agency to support them in their ambitions. The agency team needed to demonstrate that it had teams in each of Saxo Bank’s priority markets as well as a coordination team with substantial industry expertise.

our approach

After a competitive tender was won by Action, the team became responsible for overseeing and managing all PR activities across 25 CEE and MENA markets from 2015-2019.

The regional PR was coordinated by Action with a centralized approach to execution of activities. The team played a leading role in the proactive development of creative content that supported Saxo Bank’s strategy such as press releases, op-ed articles and interview responses, and the team’s helicopter role in the PR process meant that they were ideally placed to see the synergies across the account and to utilise this knowledge to execute best practice and bring added value to the client.

Some of the highlight campaigns during the period working together included launches of new products and platforms, such as the award-winning SaxoTraderGO trading platform in 2015, the release of the new professional-grade trading platform SaxoTraderPRO in 2018 and two press trips for 25 and 10 journalists to Saxo Bank’s global headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
