the challenge

Action’s web team was commissioned by the national Health Insurance Organization (ΗΙΟ) and the Cyprus Federation of Patients’ Associations (CyFPA) to create a new patient platform, which can help users easily access patient services and information. The platform (referred to as The Patient Guide) was created to address a critical need for accessible and reliable healthcare information within the General Healthcare System of Cyprus. Prior to the launch of the site, patients often struggled to find clear answers about available medical services, coverage and procedures. In collaboration with all stakeholders, the goal was to develop a digital platform that simplifies complex healthcare information, making it easily understandable and readily available to all patients.

Action’s specialised web team designed and developed a user-friendly, information-rich platform that provides specialised healthcare details in a structured and intuitive format. The website ensures easy navigation, allowing users to quickly find answers to their healthcare-related questions. Accessibility was a key focus, ensuring that patients of all backgrounds, including those with disabilities, could engage with the content effortlessly. The platform was built to be fully responsive, offering a seamless experience across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
