Industry Sports Related Links https://dubaidutyfreetennischampionships.com/Following the success of the inaugural campaign in 2023 and a standout edition in 2024, Action Global Communications UAE was once again appointed to lead the PR and social media scope for the 2025 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. Building on our proven track record, Action supported the 33rd edition with a comprehensive communications campaign, held from 17 February to 1 March 2025. Our role was to complement all aspects of the wider event marketing strategy through media relations, community engagement, social media content production & platform management, photo shoots, and on-event management.
Key results:
- Produced a total of 40x editorials – which included breaking news stories, match reports, media alerts and player features; all of which were translated and distributed to English, Arabic and international media respectively.
- The campaign generated 8,425 pieces of media coverage across print, online, and broadcast platforms – locally, regionally, and internationally – marking a 2.3% year-on-year increase
- Coordinated and managed 3x player photoshoots, including 2x for the ATP and 1x for the WTA.
- Organised and facilitated two Draw Press Conferences, with 25+ media representatives in attendance.
- Secured and facilitated 8x media interviews with DDFTC spokespeople.
- Action were commissioned by DDF senior management to produce 2x features for the Tournament Magazine on the late Colm McLoughlin and the famous Burj Al Arab shoot in 2005.
- Provided comprehensive and effective crisis communications support to tournament organisers and stakeholders following the incident involving Emma Raducanu at the Championships.
- Social media: A total of 6.4m+ views across all platforms.
