the challenge
Corteva Agriscience approached Action to assist them with the central coordination of communications across 8 countries in the CEE region, with a particular focus on the company’s separation from the DowDuPont parent brand.
The communications priority was to establish Corteva Agriscience as a pure-play agriculture company as it completed its separation from DowDuPont, and to rightly establish the company as a thought leader in the area of agricultural innovation.
Amongst the requirements was the organisation of a press trip to Corteva Agriscience’s headquarters in the US, and a strategic influencer campaign in Romania and Hungary which aimed to educate young audiences that today’s agricultural science is a highly technologically advanced profession
our approach
Action was responsible for centrally coordinating PR activities for Corteva Agriscience across 8 CEE markets from 2018-2019. After introducing the Corteva brand and products to media in Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Kazakhstan, the focus was on communicating the company’s separation from the DowDuPont parent brand.
One of the most effective projects was a short-term campaign in Romania and Hungary to create awareness in young people about the opportunities available through a career in agriculture using the power of social media and influencers.
Action also organized 20 “Media Club” events, where company spokespeople introduced the new brand and products to local media, and five specialist events to promote the topic of women working in agriculture.
Action’s central team led the strategic delivery of both retainer activities and special events, collaborating closely with a network of agencies in local markets.
Local Markets: Russia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania & Kazakhstan.
