Chiquita had a more than 15-year sponsorship agreement with SEGAS Hellenic Athletics Federation and Action Greece has offered its media expertise to the client on all the internationally renowned running events (Athens Authentic Marathon & Athens Half Marathon), since the beginning of our collaboration in 2018. 

our approach

  • Action Greece supported Chiquita by offering strategic consultation, as well as onsite support, pitching of influencer collaborations and excellent press office services during all Athens Authentic Marathon events, the most important running event in the country. ​
  • Action organised flamboyant influencer activations to boost client exposure on the day, while generating a great buzz around the iconic bananas loved by sports fans and running fans around the globe, identified by their iconic Miss Chiquita blue sticker.​
  • Specifically, Action collaborated with the famous food blogger, Marilou ‘’Madame Ginger”’ Pantaki, who prepared healthy and delicious banana smoothies and banana cakes on the site, gathering thousands of visitors and marathon athletes. ​
  • Moreover, Action partnered with the popular journalist and Instagrammer, Sonia Kazoni, who came on the event and attracted attention at Chiquita’s booth in the “Sponsors’ Village”. Specifically, she engaged with the crowd and with live Instagram posts invited fans and followers to come to the Marathon, visit Chiquita’s booth and meet Miss Chiquita.​
  • Action also collaborated with the famous influencer Mommyjammi and the renowned journalist and instagrammer Myrto Kazi who both prepared numerous Facebook posts, Instagram stories & videos before, during and after the marathon events, with exquisite results in Reach and Click to Links. ​
  • Action also pitched advertorials focused on the Chiquita’s sponsorship and presence at Top Tier media, amongst which  Athens Voice & Ad Business. ​
  • FInally, Action coordinated each time the distribution of over 70,000 premium Chiquita bananas, inflatable bananas and Chiquita balloons to provide an energy boost for runners and the audience at large. ​
