Action Ukraine Organises the EU European Village 2012
Action Ukraine recently led an immensely successful project with the EU Commission Delegation to the Ukraine, and organised the innovative and diversified European Village 2012 project during the UEFA EURO 2012 Championships. The project aimed to highlight different aspects of international cooperation between the Ukraine and Europe, covering eleven key areas of sustainable development. These were presented through music, film, art exhibitions, debates, conferences and other engaging activities. The project was launched on 2nd June in the very heart of Kyiv – near the Bow of Friendship.
The project was a joint initiative of the German International Cooperation Movement, the Delegation of the European Union to Ukraine and the City of Kyiv. Action Ukraine was responsible for organising and coordinating the inputs of the EU Delegation to the Ukraine and highlighting the EU-funded projects that participated in the European Village during the 30 days that the European Village was open! This included organising and coordinating more than 75 events, providing social media support and a full press office service for each activity.
