ACTION MARKS 25 YEARS IN THE EMIRATES WITH GROWTH STRATEGY
Cyprus-headquartered Action Global Communications has celebrated 25 years of operations in the United Arab Emirates – a quarter of a century journey of evolution and growth which mimics that of the Emirates and the wider communications industry.
For two-and-a-half decades, Action UAE – formerly MCS Action – has provided high-quality and creative PR solutions across seven emirates which make up the UAE. After transitioning into a fully integrated 360 communications agency staffed by a multi-cultural crew, the agency has growth uppermost in mind.
“The coming year will see our new office in Abu Dhabi’s TwoFour54 media complex in full swing,” explained Euan Megson, Managing Director of Action UAE. “We have worked on some of the most prestigious events and projects in the UAE capital for years and have now demonstrated our commitment to the emirate with investment in this permanent operation.”
The new office is a strategic move aimed at driving further growth in partnership with multi-segment public and private sector concerns.
As the group’s MENA regional hub, Action UAE has evolved into a highly proactive and business-oriented operation of 40 seasoned and aspiring professionals – many boasting impressive media-side credentials. Collectively, they specialise in PR, engaging media content, internal communications, corporate social responsibility, social media, digital marketing, videography and photography, design and finance.
Action UAE’s PR client portfolio spans specialist corporate and consumer functions managing briefs, campaigns and content in industries as diverse as environmental conservation, aviation, tourism, finance and fintech, to technology, energy, F&B, hospitality and sports, as well as exhibitions and events.
“Over the past three years we have tripled our UAE revenues and recorded double-digit profit in 2019. Much of this is attributed to our reputation for creativity and the ability to deliver campaigns which are precision-focussed on achieving tangible outcomes,” added Megson. “After 25 years, the agency is highly attuned to the market’s specific needs and its cultural sensitivities – factors which often differentiate us.”
And with in-depth insights into the region – many of the agency staff have experience throughout the wider GCC – Action UAE is now assisting other network offices across the Arabian Gulf with new business development and service expansion.
“This is the whole point of being part of a network – that we can call on expertise from other operations when needed. Our clients also benefit from the Group’s extensive roster of local, regional and global affiliates to ensure campaign work stretches to every corner of the globe, an essential factor for a region which is now looking outwards for inward investment and business opportunities.”
Action UAE is a founding member of the Middle East Public Relations Association (MEPRA) and the Public Relations & Communications Association Middle East & North Africa (PRCA MENA) and looks to both to provide training and compliance to an industry which has emerged from the regional shadows.
“Over the years Action UAE has employed over 200 practitioners, many of whom are now in senior positions within the public and private sectors within the Emirates and overseas. All reflect on having been enriched by the lessons passed on by my predecessors and the experience of working across a multi-sector client base. We will continue investing in the people, tools and technologies that will maintain our leading position as a pioneering innovator in independent local, regional and global communications,” added Megson.
