Action leaders recognised in PR Week Middle East Power Book
Action’s Euan Megson, managing director for MENA, and Barry King, general manager for Saudi Arabia and the UAE, have both been featured in this year’s PR Week Middle East Power Book.
Described as the definitive guide to the “brightest and most influential PR professionals in the region,” PR Week’s annual list celebrates leaders from across the Middle East who demonstrate innovation, excellence, and impactful contributions to the communications industry.
In his interview with PR Week, Euan Megson discussed the state of the PR and communications sector in the Middle East and highlighted the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other regional countries as leaders in global AI investment. Addressing the rising importance of ESG following recent COP events in the region, he remarked, “While there may not be exhaustive legal regulations surrounding ESG reporting in the Middle East, many regional entities are electing to prioritise their sustainability agendas. That can only be a good thing.”

Commenting on the industry’s growth potential in the Middle East over the next five years, Barry King noted, “More and more organisations are looking at the region, particularly KSA and the UAE, to set up operations, whether that’s a regional base or a satellite office. They will require comms support,” he explained, adding that the region’s ease of doing business and stability make the GCC an increasingly attractive destination for companies.

PR Week Power Book entrants are selected on the basis of a number of criteria, including their seniority within key organisations in the region; the size and importance of the organisations they represent; their influence on, and contribution to, the professional comms business in the Middle East; and their personal achievements and networks.
The recognitions underscore Action’s dedication to delivering high-impact projects for prominent clients and achieving prestigious accolades, including being named Best Agency in the Middle East at the PR Week Global Awards.
