Action Global Communications, the truly independent, full service, public relations consultancy, was appointed by the Cyprus Government to manage the website of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, during the six months the country will hold the position. Action Global Communications will be responsible for developing and editing content and managing the website on a 24/7 basis.

This new business builds on Action’s experience and strength in delivering communications services for a number of EU projects in the region, a service offering which will also drive the agency’s growth strategy

The assumption of the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU by Cyprus is a very important event for the country, as it is one of the smallest members of the EU. The vision of the Cyprus Presidency is one for a Better Europe, more hospitable, closer to its citizens, its neighbours and the world at large but also more efficient in facing today’s challenges. Over the next six months Cyprus will strive for a European Union which, through its policies, will function as a force of progress, peace, stability, social cohesion, security, development and prosperity. The Cyprus Presidency will also mark the coming of age of the Republic of Cyprus as an EU member state.

“The website plays a crucial role in the communication of the vision and success of the Presidency”, said Kathy Christodoulou, Board Director at Action Global Communications.
“We have a very experienced web team with strong editorial capabilities, hand picked to have both the expertise and the ability to be able to manage the website on a 24/7 basis, while working in five languages (English, Greek, Turkish, French and German) and liaising closely with the Cyprus Government’s Press and Information Office as well as Ministries and EU offices in Brussels.”
