Action Gives Crowds a Great ‘Taste of Dubai’ with British Airways

Action Dubai recently gave crowds a real taste of British hospitality with a campaign for British Airways (BA) at the annual ‘Taste of Dubai’ festival. Now in its 8th edition, the occasion is the region’s largest and most loved food, drink and music festival.

For yet another year running, BA sponsored the prestigious VIP lounge, giving exclusive guests the chance to experience true British hospitality at it best. The VIP lounge also came to life with some fun musical beats as reggae/pop legends UB40 (Ali Campbell, Astro and Mickey Virtue) entertained guests with an intimate acoustic set.

Action Dubai ensured a great media turnout, with approximately 50 lifestyle media taking part in all the fun at the VIP lounge. Action implemented a comprehensive PR campaign that included broadcast coverage pre and post event, media invitations and onsite management, press event organisation, partnerships to create and distribute media gifts, as well as content development and distribution. The Action Dubai team’s role also included talent support and management, project management, and brand partnership development.

The Dubai team worked closely with British Airways and Getty Images to create great event footage and an exclusive rapid fire Q&A with UB40 who shared their thoughts on Simon Cowell, the global music industry, and what they love about Dubai.
