Action Fuels Excitement for OMV Premium Diesel
As the bitter cold sets in across Europe, Action Hungary has been busy promoting OMV’s premium diesel product, MaxxMotion winter diesel. As part of a fun press trip series aptly named ‘Way of Fuel from Schwechat to Filling Stations’, twelve local journalists from seven different media were given the chance to visit the Dunatár tank farm in Budapest. This major tank farm receives fuel transported by large tankers directly from Schwechat in Austria. A great success all round, journalists took in plenty of theoretical information, backed up by a little on-site action as they got the chance to climb to the very top of the tanks and take some panoramic shots.
Taking Corporate Social Responsibility seriously, Action Hungary have also kick-started a comprehensive programme for OMV to popularise reading. The campaign has encouraged OMV customers to leave their used books at OMV filling stations around the country, with these books consequently donated to primary schools in disadvantaged regions and celebrated with a reading event. With 10 000 books collected so far, the successful campaign has been backed and promoted by ads, press materials and media activities.
Musician and actor, Péter Puskás, has captured a great deal of attention as the campaign ambassador, participating in events around Hungary, reading out to children and working his magic with music. Working up plenty of excitement, OMV employees, filling station partners, and even managerial staff, put their skills to the test with animated readings at the various events.
