Action Central Asia & CIS: Air Asia X lands in Almaty

Marking another milestone in Action Global Communications’ illustrious track record in the aviation industry, we’ve recently supported Air Asia‘s debut in Almaty.

To commemorate the maiden flight between Kuala Lumpur and the Kazakh city, passengers were treated to a special welcome in the check-in area, complete with red fortune cookies and a 3D photo booth where travellers could virtually pose on the wing of the aircraft.

To successfully introduce the Malaysian low-cost carrier to the Kazakh travel market, the Action Central Asia & CIS hub team has undertaken comprehensive PR and event support, including organizing a press briefing and overseeing the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between the airline and Kazakhstan Tourism.

The MOU encompasses greater commercial collaboration and partnerships between the airline and the organisation in promoting tourism between Kazakhstan and Malaysia, creating new business opportunities, developing joint sales and marketing campaigns, as well as boosting both countries’ economies through tourism.

As a strategic partner, AirAsia will not only fly travellers from Malaysia and other Southeast Asian countries to Almaty but also connect travellers from Almaty to 130 destinations across the region via Kuala Lumpur. The airline is also looking to extend both Malaysian and Kazakh tourism product promotion across the region through conferences, travel marts, and other exciting events.

Action’s collaboration with Air Asia adds another notable achievement to our agency’s long-standing history of working with renowned clients in the aviation sector, including British Airways and Etihad Airways, among others.
