Action Diplomacy increases EU visibility at the SXSW festival

South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the most popular, innovative and interactive conferences in the USA, devoted to the convergence of the music, film, and digital industries. Visibility at SXSW is an increasingly complicated endeavour, as getting noticed above all the buzz is difficult. Brands struggle to receive attention, navigate trends and figure out how to draw attendees to their events. In this light, when the Delegation of the European Union to the United States sought to promote the European Digital Single Market, Urban Sustainability and European Culture, they turned to Action Diplomacy.
Action took creativity to a whole new level with a 3-pronged approach to visibility. First and foremost, the team created the visual identity and branding for the EU which served as a perfect fit to the festival’s framework. Secondly, they designed and executed a multi-level social media strategy to ensure a great turnout of attendees. Thirdly, they worked with Action Digital to design, develop and manage the content of the dedicated website.
